he is my PIRATE

Sunday, May 27th, 2007

Pirates of the Caribbean III - I don’t know about others, but I had a
good time watching my pirate last Saturday ;) Was looking forward the
sequel ever since I got to know it will be released on the 24th.

Now..
POC3 or Spidey3? Personally, Spiderman never my fav superhero and of
course I am not justifying that Capt. Jack is a superhero. Its just
that in my comparison, I love Capt. Jack’s character more than Spidey.
Witty, cunning, carefree and smart! The special effects were good.
Worth watching.

Rating - 7.5/10

Sunday,
I attended another wedding function. Okie.. I know I have been
attending ‘too many’ weddings lately - but who cares if the food is
good? :P kekekeke.. kidding! It was Rames brother’s wedding, and Mahen, Anitha and I were there. And I am still imagining Rames’s fashionable footwear!

I
am taking a short break - probably for a week. Gonna change the concept
of nutritoday. For those who don’t know, nutritoday is a poorly updated
blog of mine :P . Besides, I have some other work in line. Will tell
you guys about it from time to time. Got to update BUF before I go
disappear from the radar!

Song: When you tell me that you love me
Singers: Diana Ross & Westlife

A song I have cherished since I was in the primary :)
I just want you to sing along with me… Ready?

I wanna call the stars
Down from the sky
I wanna live a day
That never dies
I wanna change the world
Only for you
All the impossible
I wanna do

I wanna hold you close
Under the rain
I wanna kiss your smile
And feel the pain
I know what’s beautiful
Looking at you
In a world of lies
You are the truth

And baby
Everytime you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe
No matter where you are
And bring you
Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me

I wanna make you see
Just what I was
Show you the loneliness
And what it does
You walked into my life
To stop my tears
Everything’s easy now
I have you here

And baby
Everytime you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe
No matter where you are
And bring you
Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me

In a world without you
I would always hunger
All I need is your love to make me stronger

And baby
Everytime you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe
No matter where you are
And bring you
Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me
When you tell me that you love me

you don’t have to be HOSTILE!

I have had bad days. I have encountered not only not-so-good (literally bad) people, and I have my own share of bad experiences with them. I am hurt. I am disappointed. I am heart-broken. I don’t wish to see them anymore. I don’t want to think about them anymore. I don’t want to love anyone, or to be loved by anyone. I
just hate everyone around me! what is this heck of finding your
soulmate, landing a high-paid job, raising smart (read genius) kids? I just hope to be left alone - no, no I demand to be left alone.

Who
is this "I"? Is it referring to me, and me alone? Or does it refers to
all of us? Personally I think we all have had negative thoughts in our
mind. I believe some might still have these thoughts lingering in their
head. Does this means something is seriously wrong with us? I don’t
think so. I think its normal phase in life, and its a test put upon us
by the Almighty. Whether we pass or fail the test, we will still live
and that’s the whole point of it - LIVE THE LIFE!

You don’t have
to harbour ill-feelings. You don’t have to be hostile. I don’t, though
I know some people are not meant to be forgiven.

I have stopped wishing and hoping for anything better. Because I have started to live. How about you?

In Malaysia:
Scenario: The Parliment

Bung Mokhtar (Kinabatangan MP) reportedly said: “Mana ada bocor, Batu Gajah pun tiap-tiap bulan bocor juga (Where is the leak? Batu Gajah leaks every month too) against Batu Gajah MP Fong Poh Kuan who had complained about the leaks in the Parliament lobby.

I
don’t understand if this is the ‘usual’ kinda language he uses at home.
Kudos to the women who are speaking against pathetic souls like him.

More news:
There they go again

Said refuses to apologize

MPs say sorry but retracts it later

Shahrizat to meet MPs

In Iraq:
Scenario: On the street

A
teenage girl lies dead on the ground in a pool of her own blood. Her
once groomed hair is cast across her face like a rag doll’s, her skirt
pulled up to complete her humiliation. In another image, she is seen
lying on her side, her face battered and bloodied, barely recognisable.
The concrete block used to smash in her face lies next to her.Du’a
Khalil Aswad was beaten, kicked and stoned for 30 minutes at the hands
of a lynch mob before one of her attackers launched a carefully aimed
fatal blow.

Are we moving towards a civilized world or what? :S

This is actually a song sung by Jesse, a Malaysian artiste remixed with scenes of a 80s movie. Dedicated to all women.

frequently asked questions via friendster/tagged/YM. If you got
anything else to ask, feel free to do that in the comment section. May
be I can post a link to these ‘new friends’ instead of typing it out
all the time.

A gathering it was…

Monday, May 14th, 2007

The blogger’s meeting @ gathering went on fine. There were 8 of us - Me, Anitha, Praveen, Visithra, Mahen, Saravanan, Puvanan & Murali (still searching for the link..hang on there)
attending it. Some of us have met before but some of us don’t. So, it
was more of a session getting to know each other. A lot of gossiping
too! Hahahaha..

I reached Starbucks at about 3.10pm (gathering
at 3.00pm) and greeted by Saravanan. Moments later Puvanan joined us.
Things were pretty quiet then. I was like.. "oppsi! this guys are not
talking. are they shy or something?". They proved me wrong, once
Praveen, Visithra & Murali joined the club! Mahen joined us a
little late - making a grand entrance (ama thaane Mahen? :P).

Besides
chatting with each other for 4 hours.. we also came up with an idea to
form a group called United Malaysian Indian Bloggers (which I hope to
be changed to Malaysian Indian Bloggers). It is not a group like an
organization or something. As for now, it will be just a
loosely-connected group of Malaysian bloggers of Indian origin. We have
several plans in line, which we hope to announce from time to time. If
you are a Malaysian Indian blogger, please let us know if you are
interested to join hand with us. Promise you won’t get bored. ;)

I
wanted to post many pics initially but just to make things more spicy,
we decided not to put up the photos taken in the gathering. Photos are
shared only among the attendees. Thus you may not find any of the
photos in Flickr or blogs.

welcome back gift for me! Can’t wait for Sunday :P

p/s:
thanks alot for the e-mails, offliners (chats) and smses. I appreciate
the fact that there are people out there willing to listen me when I
need them the most. Will be slowly start visiting everyone’s space
soon. Hang on there!
Love all!

We want an apology!

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

Officially I am still off from the blogworld but this issue demands
prompt attention. In fact I should have posted it yesterday itself -
thanks to confusion I am facing, I only got to do this today.

We,
the United Malaysian Indian bloggers demand an apology from the
Minister of MOSTI (Ministry of Science, Tech and Innovation) Jamaludin Jarjis
for his racist remarks on Malaysian Indians during his visit to US
recently. Below is the excerpt of the e-mail written by one Dr Sheela
Moorty from California, US. It was published in MalaysiaKini, an independent online news portal.

I am a Malaysian currently living in the USA. I am supporting the education of my sister who is enrolled at CalPoly, California.

The
reason I am writing this letter is to express my disgust and anger
regarding comments passed by the Minister of Science, Technology and
Innovation Jamaludin Jarjis during a working visit to California
recently.

He was present at a gathering organised by the
Malaysian Consulate for the students to meet him. The purpose of this
meeting was for them to address any concerns or queries they had. Being
away from home, we all know that we love to meet our fellow-countrymen
regardless of what color or creed they may be.

And being brought
up in the true Malaysian way, we were thought to respect each other and
look beyond the shallowness of skin color.

This was not the case
with our minister. He made several derogatory remarks about Indians in
general, about how they were brought in as ‘buruh kasar’ and at one
point asked my sister about how many Indians were in her batch of
students.

My sister answered him saying there were two of them.
The other Indian student was fair-skinned and was actually sitting at
the same table as the minister.

He did not realize that this
student was also an Indian and went on saying that he must be a ‘high
class’ Indian and then pointed at my sister and said that she must be a
‘low class’ Indian as she was darker skinned.

I am appalled that
we have people like this sitting at the helm and trying to run a
multi-racial country. I urge all Malaysian to stand together and voice
out against weeds like this who give our country a bad image.

I
demand an apology from him and I want him to take responsibility for
his words and I believe that malaysiakini is one of the venues to voice
my dissatisfaction.

I pledge
for us to stay united against any racist slander not only on our
community, but on every Malaysian. We are the citizen of this country
regardless what colour we might be. Never compromise on our rights and dignity, even if it involves a Cabinet Minister.

You may want to check out Mahen’s Bolehland for more recent updates on this issue.

Help us to spread the words around.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007
I’m terribly upset.
Need some time alone.
Will be back once I manage to pull myself together.
Till then, you may not see me around…

Love ya all!
